Warm up from the inside out with this cozy, flavor‑packed chili. It’s simple to make, made with real, feel‑good ingredients, and perfect for those nights when you want a comforting bowl of something that loves you back. Also perfect for a cold snowy day!



Ingredients – Chili

  • 3 lbs ground turkey

  • 1 green bell pepper, diced

  • 1 onion, diced

  • 2 packets chili seasoning mix

  • 4 cans no‑salt tomato sauce

  • 2 cans red kidney beans, drained and rinsed


Instructions – Chili

  1. In a large pan, cook the ground turkey over medium heat until browned.

  2. Dice the green pepper and onion, then add them to the turkey. Cook for a few minutes and mix well.

  3. Sprinkle in both packets of chili seasoning mix and stir until the meat and veggies are well coated.

  4. Transfer the meat mixture to a large crock pot.

  5. Add the kidney beans and tomato sauce. Stir to combine.

  6. Cook on high for about 1 hour.


Ingredients – Cornbread

  • 1 box Jiffy cornbread mix

  • 1/4 cup milk

  • 1 egg


Instructions – Cornbread

  1. In a bowl, combine the Jiffy mix, milk, and egg. Stir until just blended.

  2. Pour the batter into a greased baking pan.

  3. Bake according to the package directions, until the cornbread is lightly golden brown.


Serve the chili hot with a slice of warm cornbread.

Serves: 4–6.
