Warm up from the inside out with this cozy, flavor‑packed chili. It’s simple to make, made with real, feel‑good ingredients, and perfect for those nights when you want a comforting bowl of something that loves you back. Also perfect for a cold snowy day!
Ingredients – Chili
3 lbs ground turkey
1 green bell pepper, diced
1 onion, diced
2 packets chili seasoning mix
4 cans no‑salt tomato sauce
2 cans red kidney beans, drained and rinsed
Instructions – Chili
In a large pan, cook the ground turkey over medium heat until browned.
Dice the green pepper and onion, then add them to the turkey. Cook for a few minutes and mix well.
Sprinkle in both packets of chili seasoning mix and stir until the meat and veggies are well coated.
Transfer the meat mixture to a large crock pot.
Add the kidney beans and tomato sauce. Stir to combine.
Cook on high for about 1 hour.
Ingredients – Cornbread
1 box Jiffy cornbread mix
1/4 cup milk
1 egg
Instructions – Cornbread
In a bowl, combine the Jiffy mix, milk, and egg. Stir until just blended.
Pour the batter into a greased baking pan.
Bake according to the package directions, until the cornbread is lightly golden brown.
Serve the chili hot with a slice of warm cornbread.
Serves: 4–6.
